About 18 months ago I purchased a dell laptop, which I now hate with a passion. It overheats and shuts down after about thirty minutes of use. I would like to purchase a new laptop for gaming purposes while avoiding the same problem. I am not interested in a Mac or building my own computer. I am going to use this laptop primarily to play World of Warcraft. My budget is anything less than $1000. What provider/brand would you recommend?

Hi friends.I have Dell laptop which is right now giving me a hard time. It has been installing updates since last night . i have connected the laptop directly with internet with a wire in case it will take short time. But it is still running updates. Even if i try to shut down my laptop and turn it on , it still keeps on installing updates. Will it take forever or what?

What do you think of the Alienware Dell Gaming Laptop?

I want to get one really bad, but I wonder about the keyboard and mouse setup… I’d probably have to use external keys and mouse. It seems like all laptops, when used for gaming, kind of cramp up your hands and it’s hard to both move with the pad and the keys at the same time.

Or is this laptop somehow different, and easier to use for games that require both mouth and keys to play?

Also, how is the performance? Is it worth the money? Can you really have a good gaming laptop?

Hello.

I plan on selling two laptops on ebay. One is a dell laptop and one is an apple.

What is the best way to wipe the drives? I dont think I have the original system disks, so perhaps I need to download ‘em.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have just bought a netgear wireless router, when I try to connect my dell inspiron 1501 laptop to it, the laptop says invalid network key. I have checked if I can connect to the network with no security and I can. I have an iPod touch which connects to the network fine. Which ever strength of security I try (WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and so on)it is the same. I have not tried WEP.
