How do I add the internet to my laptop computer?

I brought a laptop computer. Can anybody give me any detail steps on how to add internet access to my laptop? The name of my computer is an acer aspire 5580/5570/3680/5570z series.

    just like you do a desktop…the laptop should have an instructional internet cd to get your started. we have one of each…downloads the same way. Debbie R
